should i be concerned?

so, as many of you know, my OA collection consists of Ryan Ottley Invincible art. i spoke with Mark Hay, Ottleys art rep and seller of said OA. apparently, Ottley had Mark pull all his pages and send them back to him. so, all those pages are no longer for sale on the site. does this mean i won't be able to get those pages ever again, or do you think Ryan maybe wasn't happy with the pages turning, or lack thereof? I'm sure if Ryan hasn't found another outlet for his stuff, he's gonna have giant OA portfolios with him at cons. was just a little shocked i guess.

It could be anything. Maybe the artist recently got married and wanted to give his wife something to do. Girlfriends and wives often take over the business side of things. Some of them do an awesome job at it too.

indeed, it could be a business decision. handling the sale of the art himself means that he gets 100% of the profit. (and 100% of the burden)

Yep, there are some artists that just decide to handle it themselves. Doubt he would want to stop a flow of funds.

Isn't he the guy that sets his art on fire?

If so, I'd be worried

How cold is it right now where Ottley lives?

He's probably just switching reps or selling his artwork himself. Have you tried contacting him directly?

Hey look at it this way, he burns it, you control the market with what's left over!

If I remember correctly, Ryan used to sell his pages through his website then switched to a rep because of lack of time. Maybe he decided that he prefers selling them himself?

Big fan of Ottley as well

Yeah, I'm really hoping he just decided to eliminate the "middle man" and take over the sales himself. I did email Ryan tonight inquiring about some of the work available. The possibility of not being able to buy the pages so easily was terrifying to me.

Chances are as an Artist he was moving, had a death in the family, was in a car crash on the way to the funeral was in an ambulance crash while being driven to the hospital from the car crash, was in a helicopter crash while being flown to the hospital from his ambulance crash, caught malaria while in the hospital so he asked for the art back because he needs cash.
