Am I unreasonable in voicing my desire for something that I find more asthetically pleasing?

Kind of, because you still missed his point. It is indeed a nostalgic pose catering toward a crowd of people who would feel nostalgia toward the license and the pose. In other words, you weren't part of the equation and requesting a more engaging pose is a bit unrealistic in the same ways that one would get upset over Ryu being posed to do a hadouken versus him doing some other action pose.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

My post wasn't a "request," simply an idea of what I think would have made a better looking pose, in my opinion. A point I covered in my initial post.
I understood his point perfectly fine. The pose is something that can be seen as nostalgic and for that reason, will be more appealing to the longtime fans of the franchise. To reiterate, while I respect that assessment, the sentiment does not ring true for me.
God forbid my personal tastes don't conform with yours.

Regardless, I'm done with this conversation. No need to cloud this thread any further with pointless arguments.

You seem like someone who gets offended quite easily. I'm sorry, didn't mean to upset you.
