I always liked this look for GG but it would've been better with the old school regular Goblin scales on the arms instead of the armor. Then it'd be a perfect marriage between the classic look and modern armor.

That's the main thing I don't like about the modern armors he sometimes wears. They completely get rid of his arm and leg scales.

I hope SS's has scales. But from what Igo was saying they seem close to finished if we're seeing a reveal in a few months.

I like many modern designs for characters and think they would make cool statues, but when I'm buying a big, expensive statue to hopefully keep for many years, I've got a bias towards keeping it classic. New looks come and go, but original designs will always have a timeless quality.

Don't original designs technically "go" once the new look arrives?

A lot of times, new designs will take over, sometimes for years, then at some point they revert back to the original, at least in essence if not a complete reversion. If you look at characters with long histories like Batman, you'll see this is often the case.

That's not to say the original is always better, just that it's a sort of permanent reference point or default that tends to hold up over time among fans. But maybe that's just me, and it might be mostly a comic thing, as history and chronology tends to be important to a lot of long-time comic fans.

Is this the Spider-Man thread, or the Goblin wishlist thread?

I know people are making observations about the scale of the steel beam and whether it's part of a crane. Surely it's more likely to be the top of a hoist which are used to support those window cleaning platforms. They are not all that big structurally.

The bottom of the base is a really big disappointment. I get what they are doing but I don't like the art direction put into it. Maybe it will make more sense of they preview it with Green Goblin. If this is a stand alone piece then.......

Speak of the devil Savage.Cap, here it is. Osborne is trying to keep his cool all day. The thunderbolts team already thinks hes losing his s***. He goes back to his office and keeps hearing something talking to him from his desk. He opens the drawer and is surprised to find his goblin mask. He can't stop himself.
