I'd be down for it as I really enjoyed the first one, but I don't feel it's necessary in the least. I never would have imagined it would even be considered to get a sequel due to it not being that popular of a film.

I really liked this film. Not sure how a sequel wold work unless Emily is the one who keeps bopping around time.

It's good enough as a standalone.

I think the only 'Edge of Tomorrow 2' I can see working would be a prequel. They can show the initial alien invasion, Emily Blunt's rise from just another soldier to full metal ----- and her relationship with the friend she mentioned.
Tom Cruises role will be about his media presence and selling the war to the public, almost like the news segments from Star Ship Troopers, popping up throughout the movie. Doing his best to be the face, sell the war, but keep himself out of harms way.

Loved the movie. Doesn't need a sequel. Ended perfectly.
A sequel would most definately taint the great memory I had of the first film at the cinema.

You know I've probably never paid it too much thought but Cruise honestly has a ton of solid films.

He does. Say what you will about him, but the man has a good eye for movies. His latest three —Jack Reacher, Oblivion and Edge of Tomorrow (haven't seen M:I-RN yet)— have all been really good stuff.

Agreed. I don't even like Tom Cruize...but I loved all of these shows, as well as MI Ghost Protocol. I heard that the new MI isn't as good as Ghost Protocol, but Cruize really has had a great run of films in the last while...
