I don't think they're "playing" with inventory numbers as perhaps 1) Not sure how many they'll actually get so 2) They want to avoid overselling and having unhappy customers. Better to play it save than sorry.

I'd guess they sold through their allocation faster than anticipated and was quickly given additional stock by P1 to capitalize while the hype is high.

What makes you think it is Sideshow? Because they are the distributor? P1 probably controls the inventory numbers.

Sideshow is a distributor and part of that purpose is managing an inventory. Prime 1 is a supplier and so they manage allocation. Either way, I of course don't really know but it is food for thought although it is easier to just go on blind faith these days.

I agree, that sounds exactly right; we've seen this with other pieces as well.

I love how I got my conversion email August 17 at 2:27PM and it said I had until August 16 at 11:59PM to cancel.

I would think P1 manage the inventory, so many pieces go to SS, others to Japan distributors, etc...and as others have said, since SS sold all of it's allocation, P1 obviously "gave" some more to SS to perhaps fillout it's waitlist.

LOL, I had the same option. Bascially, no chance to cancel. S'all good, I wanted this anyways. Now that this is a live order, I am going to change it so it will be on a flex schedule.
