2018 Art Collecting Goals

As per Ari's 2017 thread, what are your goals in the new year?

For me, the Detective 880 cover (Jock Joker), a [prime] original-run HUSH splash or cover, and another Batman: White Knight cover.

And moderation. Lol.

If I'm happy with my purchases, I've reached my goal. And, since I keep posting, I'm not quite there yet... lol.

I read this post and this comes to mind for your 2018 ... something tells me I know which side of the coin is coming up

Well my main goal every year is to add another Ron Lim Silver Surfer cover to the collection but with the way the prices keep going, it's not very realistic but who knows?

I'd like to get a nice Hulk cover or splash, a Batman commission or published piece by Lee Bermejo, and a Tim sale commission or published piece.

In an effort to slow down, I am not going to make any new goals. Let's see how that works out

Is it possible to top your 2017, Kyle? Insane year, Man!!

I definitely had my biggest collecting year in 2017, which has made me nearly goal-less for 2018. I'm expecting completion on at least one or both of my pending commissions: A Double Pager from Gerardo Zaffino, and of course, my Jae piece....and despite the whole Jae issue, I love what I've seen of the piece thus far and I'm still really excited for it...also, the Zaffino name on a Punisher piece is pretty important to me, so thats also a really big get.

Other than that, depending on how the year goes, I'm after (the right) Art Adams or Bill S piece...but that seems unlikely for next year (went waaaaaay over my art budget in 2017)

You guys should make it a goal to share what you got last year. I keep reading about 2017 being a big year for a lot of you and I don't think most of the art was shared publicly.....or was it. I can't remember.

Maybe I should start a 2017 year in review thread.
