I've had my Venom for nearly a week now and I really like him. Venom and Carnage are probably my two favorite comics characters and what drew me to comics in the first place. The Venom comiquette was also what started my statue addiction.

The new Venom is the perfect depiction of early Mcfarlane Venom! People complaining about the gorilla like pose clearly don't know how he was first drawn. He is a lumbering beast with a smile on his face and this statue perfectly captures this.

Also wanted to do a comparison to the comiquette. I was genuinely surprised to find that these two are not that far off in size. The comiquette is perhaps slightly smaller (not by much). So talks of the comiquette being too small and even 1/5 are unfounded. The new PF has enormous thighs and slightly bigger head but the hands, feet, width of shoulders, buttocks match up really closely.

Also amazed at just how detailed the comiquette is even though this was released 7-8 years ago. Martin Canale I salute you! You are a master. I much prefer how the symbiote is depicted on the comiquette as opposed to the "surface of the moon" texture of the new PF. The teeth and tongue are also much nicer on the comiquette.

In the end I'm happy to have both of these in my collection. 1 is the more recognized monster like Venom with tongue hanging out while the other is classic Mcfarlane Venom smiling and having fun while he toys with Spider-Man.

Just received my Venom. It is a beast. Photos just don't do it justice till you see it in hand. Now I just need to find some space to display it.

I love the comiquette and am sorry I missed him.
Wondering if I should pick up this PF. I have all of the other Spiderman villains SS has released, just missing a Venom. He does look really good.

This PF is really nice. He looks huge next to spidey and very menacing.
