Yeah, I get that the shipping is a big chunk of the delta, but that's unfortunately still more money out of my pocket at the end of the day. Still, I've thought it'd be neat to get an XM statue eventually to compare it to my Prime 1 stuff. I may eventually take the plunge on one of their WW licenses.

If only the left leg was on the ground, this statue would have been absolutely perfect. This one still beats SS mystique though. I really love the shade of blue of her skin in this statue.

What Spec has done is roll some of their shipping costs into the base price of the statue. The statue would be about $750 USD, then approx $300 shipping. But Spec put part of that shipping onto the base price of the statue and then the rest to an inexpensive shipping.
So to me, it is not overpriced. The cost would be the same, if not more, to get the statue from other places/third parties.
Plus Spec has to make some profit or it is not worth the struggle to get these pieces to sell.
