but will the factory duplicate that awesome paint app... to me it's pointless to have a professional make it look that great only to be disappointed by the factory's poor duplication..

Here are some details :
1) The eyes are re-engineered to capture more light
2) The face paint is final prototype. You can expect minor tweaks as we move to production.
3) the prototype does not have the translucent skin applied, that will come later.
4) Public PO can be expected to come during the next few weeks. (TBA)
5) final ES is 550 ( 60 left for public PO)
Let us know what you think. And help share this to anyone you think might appreciate or is a fan.

Massive improvement over the original Mai Shiranui concept from HMO

I think she is shaping up really nice with the eyes, thanks for sharing.

I have the HMO P1 and P2 Morrigan. The paint applications on mine I would say are just as good if not better than the prototype. So I have confidence this will be no different.

Well, maybe the next HMO lady will finally be mine.
I love that portrait, but she is not Mai. She could be anyone. A fantastic creature, a sylph for example.
It will be interesting to see if the 550 "Mai" will be all painted in the same professional way.

Wonderful, astonishing beautiful, but as others said, it´s not Mai there, she have nothing to do with her so what´s the point? I wanna a beautiful Mai statue, not a beautiful woman statue, so I still prefer the Kinetiquettes version...
I already made my PO of her, I´m not gonna lie this one it´s beautiful, the final version of her will be amazing for shure, and with enough space/money I could grab both, but in the real world we must choose, so I keep that version with a very good second place.

The point of HMO statues is the unique visual design. When you have the full display everyone will know it is Mai. If you want a more traditional statue of her there are plenty of alternatives. Nothing wrong with an artist interpretation.

You may have to explain to me where the piece goes so far as to invalidate itself as a representation of the character.
I own 20+ Wonder Woman pieces and they vary wildly in artistic style and understand may like or dislike some, but they are all her to me.
