Yep - the eye make-up is much more pronounced than it ever was before. It helps this portrait A LOT. She now has thick eyeliner, not eye lashes, both on the upper and lower part of the eye.

I'm 99% sure it's shadow creating the illusion, filling in space around the eyes that should have been taken care of by the sculpt and prototype paint.

An X-Force variant with the old head would be incredible.

I don't see what you are describing at all...painful? inhuman? (I do see this with the awful production pics but not the unboxing video)
Emotionless? I think she looks quite focused and intense.
And no I'm not "desperate to like it."

I don't care.
We all share our opinions here. So, I am allowed to share mine. If it upsets you, well, that is on you.
It is very likely that the production piece pics and unboxing feature the same statue.
If you like it, congratulations.

No doesn’t upset me at all.
I just like to point out people who thinks so much of themselves and can’t distinguish opinion from fact.
You think you are better because you are a statue reviewer?
I’ve no problem with your dislike of the statue but some of us think the statue looks great because we really do. Not because we are “desperate to like it.”
