When it comes to Hulk, specifically, we have a lot of absurdly beautiful pieces available on the market. Mike Deodato's custom Hulk, the original SS, and a host of other pieces where the green monster is well represented.

But honestly, I've never seen a piece that could so masterfully express the true Hulk of comic books like this one from XM.

The fury. The ferocity out of control. Dr. Bruce Banner's anguish (his desperation to be unable to contain the cloistered beast within himself, struggling to break free for the first time), roaring, imploding the fragile body of a commom man to make way for the most powerful creature that the world has never seen. Watching at those gigantic hands and powerful steel muscles where flesh and skin can barely contain, we have a feeling how much damage this beast can do. Watch out. Get out of your way.

Yes, there are many pieces of Hulk, but none can be compared to this one.
When I look at this piece, I get a sense of sheer terror. A frightening beast being unleashed. It reminds me so much of when we see the HULK transform for the first time in the original Avengers movie. You could see and feel the fear in Black Widow when the HULK was unleashed and she started running for her life. The HULK was a raging beast and just about everyone on the helicarrier was in fear for their lives.

I remember squirming in my seat watching the HULK emerge from the darkness and laying waste to everyone and everything on the helicarrier. There was no containing his uncontrollable rage or devastating destruction. I see that same uncontrollable rage when I look at this statue. For me, no other HULK statue has adequately captured that primal element of the character.

Hulk is one of those characters you learn to love from a very young age. When we were kids, we admired the strongest heroes, the ones who solved all problems through brute force. As our critical sense was still developing, we quickly identified with Hulk, a big guy where his actions spoke more than words.

As we grow up, we come to understand all the mystique surrounding the doctor who is reluctant to become a monster. the fear, the horror of imagining that his alter ego could destroy a city in a few minutes. The drama, the impossible love for a woman whose father is the man who hates him most in the world.

And it is the precise combination of these elements that at the same time dialogues with our childlike interiors and conversations with our adult intellect that makes Hulk a beloved character for people of all ages. And any character who achieves this marvelous feat really deserves to be called incredible.

I am pleased to put this magnificent sculpture in my collection.

Well said dude! I’ve seen your collection on Facebook pages and search engines . It’s awesome and this will compliment it well. I couldn’t pass on this myself. It goes next to Hulkbuster

Good catch! Hopefully they just forgot the piece, would be a big change and I would probably consider getting a refund. The base was flawless imo and one of the big selling points for the piece.
