I'm kind of happy that I don't really feel the need to get involved with it now. It might have cost me a fortune otherwise. This one is a case of close, but no cigar and that's always a shame.

God I hate soft goods, it immediately ruins a nice sculpt.

After watching The Rise of Skywalker last night I'm getting excited for this piece!

Feeling the same. I am still not a fan of 1/4 scale pricing on a 1/5 piece but Palpatine has always been one of my favorite SW characters.

This statue looks a bit odd to me for a few reasons and it’s just my opinion.
1) the half sculpted cloak with the fabric cloak has a different feel to it but it looks a bit odd.
2) Never been a fan of trying to portray lighting and other little magical wisps they just tend to look strange (mostly)
3) The pose is dynamic but maybe too dynamic for the positions of his hands and where he’s looking.
This is unfortunate. Would love a more subtle but sinister looking sculpt with him wielding his saber. Something similar to the original Attakus Vader sculpt for the body positioning. Also the dead grey look of his eyes and decrepit flesh in the new film would be a welcome look to change it up for mythos.

With all do respect to SS...its not the worst piece by far....just a far cry from the Ventress Mythos for me.
Palpatine should be epic imo and this is not ...

Less than half of Ventress...sorry Palpy, seems this iteration won't "dew it" for many people
