Thanks. Good to know. Probably time I pursue a refund.

I can’t believe Popcultcha (Australia) has this available for preorder. I wish they had the Aquaman piece too, but I guess it has to do with Alita’s worldwide licence.

Though getting it from Popcultcha doesn’t accrue as much savings (if any, even taking account of worse case scenario custom fees) as it usually does.

Australian buyer here as well. What price AUD would this cost us delivered you think? Are you ordering through popcultcha?
Edit: just saw it. Free shipping in Aus at $5,000 delivered

Any order above $100 has free shipping though Popcultcha.

It's priced a bit high at Popcultcha, with the rate of conversion from the US cost on the low end of the usual range of 0.55 to 0.62.

At current exchange rates and assuming the shipping fees are correct, and if we were to be hit by customs which should be around $766 AUD (at 5% (or could be 0%) plus 10% GST plus handling fees) it would come to about $5,184 AUD shipped from Specfiction etc.

I just placed a preorder for the 1/2 scale Aquaman, so I won't be able to pick this up, but if I were to get it from Popcultcha, I would usually order this with a 10% member discount so it'll come to $4,500 AUD shipped.

Didn't my number breakdown say that?

But even without the 10% discount it's likely to be cheaper through Popcultcha. Heck only if the 5% custom fee doesn't apply will it be cheaper by $35 AUD through elsewhere. But there are other benefits through ordering through Popcultcha, in that the deposit paid to them can 'usually' be transferred to another order in the event of a change of mind, and of course it's always nice to know exactly what we need to pay, and not be concerned with the unknowns of customs and floating exchange rates etc.

It's just that it's priced at Popcultcha higher than I normally would expect it. But I guess this of course doesn't get the usual volume discount from sourcing products directly from Sideshow etc.

I'm really tempted to pre-order this, but i'm in doubt due to the fact this is using "silicones". Won't this deterioate within time? I would freak out if i would notice some cracks or something during the years.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Nothing lasts forever, plat silicone would last between 20-30 years or so.

Possible, but I wouldn't expect any signs within 10 or even 20 to 30 years on these. I look at it as by then who knows what the world will be like or what I'll be doing in 2040.

If this really lasts 20 years or longer then i have little to no reason not to preorder it.
