New Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) costume

Not to sound like the old fan who hates on everything new and modern, but...

I strongly dislike this design.

With the right artist, I don’t think it looks too bad. The suit definitely needs more red though.

I have all the Marvel Comics ordered this month with Spider Woman covers. There are also 28 versions of Spider Wonan #1. I like the Alex Ross one the best. I would prefer they keep the original costume.

Did you get all 28 covers, MB? I know Spider Woman is one of your most fave characters

And ITA that the costume is too black, It would be fine if her hair wasn't also black. That's the only thing I don't like. I think the design on her calves is cool.

I think I got 21 or 22 of the 28. There is a Delotto Dallas Fan Expo one. But now that's cancelled I wonder how I will get that. I did get the Infantino 1 of 100 one. Adam Hughes and Alex Ross. These were $50, $15, and $40. The Alex Ross $20 cover cost me an additional $19 for shipping. What the hell.

Yeah, not really a fan of this costume. Not terrible but the classic one was so perfect.

It looks like they just took Spider Gwen's costume and slapped some black paint on it.

Spider-Woman fan here. The majority of the covers feature her in her classic costume and that's the one I wish they'd go with... but I guess Marvel is bound and determined to change it.

I still haven't read the new issue #1 yet but it's on its way to me.

Michael, like yourself, I like the Ross cover best and ordered the virgin cover from his site. You weren't kidding about the shipping... I had to order a sketchbook or two to justify the cost but Ross' work is fantastic IMO.

The J Scott Campbell virgin covers and signed copies went live today and I ordered one from him as well.

When all is said and done, I will have six of the variants... only one featuring the new costume.

Todd Nauck's cover is great, too. As a Spider-Woman fan, I really wish they hadn't used her character for the Veranke shocker... they had just made her relevant again and then we find out she was a Skrull that whole time.

But all's well that ends well... hopefully this series will hold up and make for some good stories... and a return to her classic look.
