I feel like most action figure collectors don't even get that far. They just keep their figure in the package and put the package on display.

I think the lines are really starting to blur between the different disciplines, to the extent that their similarities outweigh the relevance of their differences. E.g. "Action Figures" have joints and articulation - however, I assume the majority of AF collectors, pose their figures one time and set them in the display cabinet....at that point, it may as well be a statue
I don't really care what term one prefers to use. At the end of the day I don't want synthetic hair or fabric clothing on a 1/6 scale "piece". With few exceptions it doesn't sit, fold, wrinkle etc as it should due to scale. For me the term "statue" seems most appropriate because I want it fully sculpted.

I used to be an action figure collector and you are correct. They stay in the package and get displayed that way. I still have 100 or so and none have been opened.

Haha, I'm such an idiot... I posted all this in the 1:3 thread by accident

Stupid similar thread titles...

I wonder what the probability is that somebody somewhere will cancel their PO for this item in the space of the next year...

Aw, I really don't have any space I could show this epic piece off though. I can't wait to see other's in-hand pics though.

They reportedly oversold these already so cancellations will just fill those orders.

If this statue turns out well, it will be ridiculous on the secondary market.....without a doubt. Prices will ensure this piece will be unattainable by many collectors.
