Called SS today just to double-check. They told me the same thing- he's supposed to ship this month. Got the Exclusive with the extra portrait so don't know if both versions come in at the same time or if one comes in before the other. Just hope the MCU does Victor justice. I also need a good 1/4 Hulk to fill out my 80s Secret Wars line-up.

I think Doom is a terrifying character. He deserves more love across the board. For me he’s right up there with Kang. Kang gives me the creeps. Go figure

I saw him at comic con and it still didn't push me to buy him.

His cockiness shows in the sculpt, but I think I like my villains to come off slightly more menacing. He's a good Doom, I just don't think he'll be the definitive Doom, which I think everyone was hoping for.

Maybe our expectations built too much pressure around this piece.

If you don't have a Doom in your collection and you've been patiently waiting for one, you can't go wrong with this one given the price point and availability for any other 1/4 Doom on the market.

As a long-time Doom enthusiast I give them points for the brown eyes (Doom has brown eyes, NOT blue), the paint on the area around his eyes showing the damage to his face, the general haughtiness of the pose, and the fact that they didn't put him "on throne" (really tired of this trend), but I don't like that chin piece jutting out or the extremely exaggerated musculature.
