For an extra $500 the DXS just had too many goodies to pass on. From memory the reg version, you couldn't even place the biomask on the base, which was a big turn off for many collectors.

That might be the only downside for those who got the regular and intend to display with the closed mouth bust…but I say “might” because there remains a possibility that the movie biomask that comes with the Regular version could be displayed similarly like the one that came with the 1/4 version…

You could probably still display it on the base, but the fit might not be as snug. Or one could 3D print a 1/3 scale biomask which could also work. Either way, if prime 1 pull this off, collectors are in for a real treat. We could get this as early as March next year if things go to schedule, fingers crossed

These are actually higher numbers than I expected tbh given the cost. I figured the 999 would be total across the board, but whatever, the days of actually limited runs are long gone unless demand simply isn't there.

The bust however is hilarious! If this isn't an admission of deceptive business practices from Prime 1, I'm not sure what would be. That 1500 ES sold out in two days. the waitlist opens up, Prime 1 ignore all questions about it, the mods on their FB group tell us that we're a vocal minority and lots of silent buyers are grabbing them despite the ridiculous price. And here we are months later and that ES cuts down to 1/3 of what it was originally. Good times...
