I noticed that too. It's not from handling, my 1/4 Hunter has this same deal new out of the box. You can always take a thin paintbrush with black paint (or sharpie) and fill in the missing black lines. Or you can tell yourself it's weathered and supposed to look like that. It's not perfect, but it's close.

yeah the fact that it's coming down to such tiny levels of inconsistency that I can't even tell it's a production piece is wildly impressive. Won't know 100% until it's in hand of course, but this is beyond promising. Even some of the smallest black spots are matching the proto

I noticed the dreads were tighter and bunched together but in the production they are fuller and spread out more movie accurate, but I did read you can move them slightly which I hope is true

They are made of flexible material. Easy to adjust.
