iPod help!!!

question for those that can help.....I have a older 40 (or so) gig ipod...I have all the musice in my laptop.......for easter I bought my wife a 4 gig iPod nano (so I can get mine back from her!).......here is the issue I'm having..

how do I put music on it? I keep trying ot click and drag and nothing I also installed itunes on her computer ......

I guess my quesiton is..

1) how can she use the music on my computer?
2) how can she use the music I purchased?

any of you have two ipods and have this trouble......

You can have multiple iPods coupled with your computer (I think we have about 6 or so coupled with our main PC). But it will only couple with one computer. So if you want to share music with another person who has their iPod coupled to another computer, you'll either have to email or burn to a CD and then they can copy over. Also, make sure your ipods have the latest version of iTunes. When you plug it in, it should ask if you want to update. If it is having a problem "seeing" the ipod, you also need to make sure it has the latest version.

You have an alternative program instead of Itunes that works with every Ipod and works similar , it's called Ephod and with that you can download with every Ipod from every computer that has the program installed.
