No, it looks like a hole because it looks like a hole lol; as compared the rest of the black area around it. But maybe it's some optical illusion....

Heh heh. It does look like a hole, but I'm just explaining why.

Deep indeed. Whole back including the symbol is quite ugly.
His back is already so big and round, prob would be extra weird if sculptor put the spine-column also outwards.
Btw the venom head with longer outstanding lower teeth looks pretty close to the last XM venom. But of course they made it the premium version
Would anyone consider this 1/4 Spider-man if is was available as loose item ?

As I implied, absolutely, as long as it came with a different base.

Me too (otherwise).
Bcs the sewer environment does not match Spidey very well.

Sosa does a great Spidey. Wish they sold it separately.
I'm not a fan of the monster Venom. XM's original is still the best comic representation IMO.

Alright, because you asked nicely
Spidey's portrait with the mixed eye sizes makes me chuckle..."there's a big god damn hulking Venom behind me, isn't there?"

Nice Spidey but another example of a company trying to "out Venom" the last Venom statue.

i feel like these companies troll us every time they do a venom statue, LBS was closest in making a nice venom but it was the "wrong scale" for many peoples collection and now canceled

Thousands of dollars for an action figure aesthetic.
