I’m glad to hear that they’re back on their feet in some form. I hope that all of the impacted collectors will have a resolution soon.

Sadly, it does not bode well for statue companies in general moving forward. Prices have reached a tipping point with too many fans, statues have virtually no resellability, there aren't enough new fans joining to replace those leaving, licenses are too expensive, people are running out of display space, shipping prices are huge, and perhaps most importantly, there are far too many options available so there's no urgency to buy. Many people just wait for sales or buy in the aftermarket at a vast discount. The cost/enjoyment ratio is too off balance too. Would you want to invest in a statue company right now? Probably not. Harsh reality setting in, and it isn't pretty.

Only thing you forgot which is REALLY the crux of all this:

Too many "statue companies"

Takes more than renting a couple artists, paying for a 3D print, scheduling a little factory time, and some social media posts to make a legitimate company.

EDIT: Oh and TOO MANY desperate customers unwilling to recognize the difference.

The rights holders are cooperative and pleased with our efforts to save the projects.

We have also been working on a new visual identity for Oniri Creations, which will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Starting next week, we will begin communicating with stores and other industry professionals. Until now, we had not yet communicated with them because we preferred to wait until the information was reliable and the legal structure was in place. Given the many expectations and the attacks we have faced, we want to be cautious about what we communicate. We receive a lot of thanks but also some hostility, as the subject is sensitive.

Regarding production dates, we hope to provide you with precise factory departure dates for certain figurines by the end of the month. Thanks to the contacts obtained since our live, we have found logistics partners offering more advantageous proposals for maritime transport.

We commit to communicating with you every two to three weeks, or as soon as we have important information to share. To reassure our customers, we have already organized lives in French and English in collaboration with influencers Virtual Devil JP Sarri Reviews. We are currently recruiting for various positions, including a community manager.

Key Points to Retain from this Communication:
Production Dates:

We hope to provide you with precise factory departure dates for certain figurines by the end of the month.

Logistics Partners:

We have found logistics partners offering more advantageous proposals for maritime transport.

Managing Outstanding Balances:
For customers who have partially paid for their orders and still wish to receive their figurines, we will contact them once we have the figurines in our possession to finalize the payment.
We thank you for your continued support and patience. We are doing everything we can to ensure that the figurines are produced and delivered as soon as possible.

Yep! A bunch of us predicted this a year or two ago, in one of the other threads here. Even once the economy gets better, I'm not sure the market will ever return to what it once was....

This was expected for statue companies. They are all chasing the same collectors selling the same characters. How many Batmans can you make before the market becomes saturated? I personally haven't bought any Batman since there are so many being made and there are a ton on sale on the secondary market. If I do buy a Batman, then it has to be something unique like Phantasm, Catwoman & Batman trio from Prime 1. While both Catwoman and Batman have been done to death, Phantasm hasn't been done before so it's ok to make another Batman and Catwoman.

What I want is new characters not the million repeat. If a character is being repeated, then it has to be different that what has already been done.

For example if a repeat is done, the LBS Joker with a gun, cigar, and Harley is pretty unique compared to what statue companies have been peddling the last couple years with Joker statues.

For new characters like Neo from the Matrix or Valeera Sanguinar from World of Warcraft, Phantasm from Prime 1, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, ect.

I think most collectors will have room only for one Batman not a million of them. I can understand a super fan, but most collectors are probably not super fans that must have a dozen of Batmans. Then there is the high cost of statues and space. I personally had to cancel two statues this year due to lack of space. They were nice statues, but other statues I have on pre-order or planning to buy have higher priority and I didn't want to start having statues all over the house, so I cancelled those two. I still have one statue in a box that I haven't even opened for months. I'm in the middle of reorganizing, redecorating, and adding more cabinets in my gaming room. Once completed, I should have a lot more space for more statues, a pinball machine, and an arcade. If I can fit all that in my gaming room, then it's a big win for me.

I fully agree with you. This hobby has been dominated by a few characters and licenses for years.

As a younger collector I am looking for the licenses and characters like you mentioned at the very high end. Video games, manga, and 80s, 90s, 2000s movies that haven't been done yet.

I think we are seeing that shift happen now as well, as companies are beginning to realize that the usual DC / Marvel aren't the end be all, and you're missing a market of collectors that aren't into those.
