Anyone been to a crawfish boil lately?
I went to one on Saturday. Lots of work, but so much fun. Yummy!
These particular crawfish were so big, we were able to eat the claws.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

We are having one in two weeks. I love 'em. We throw in some prawns (fresh water shrimp), sausage, garlic, onions, potatoes and corn on the cob. Must have plenty of cold cold beer and many good friends.

For every 10 people, boil about 50 lbs of heavily seasoned crawfish in a pot with sausage, corn on the cob, garlic cloves, onion, and potatoes. Drain it, dump it all on the table, and stand around it, peeling and eating with your hands. Guzzle a beer or six. It's the messiest "meal" you will ever eat, actually a meal/social event. Must be done outdoors on a crappy old table covered with a vinyl tablecloth. When it's over, wad up the tablecloth with all the peelings inside, and stuff the whole thing in the trash. Simple!
It burned like hell to remove my contact lenses that night, 'cause of all the paprika and pepper embedded under my fingernails
