I love me some Prime 1 bases.
Prime1 bases have other characters, accoutrements, and symbols that actually relate to the main figure.
These are a bunch of busy lines with not quite matching paint and finishes to the busts. It is like using off-white and white together not a good look.
I can love simples bases and busy bases these are just gawdy bases.
If nothing else use something more uniform to give the busts a matching group appearance.

What do you think of the base on the Mark 7 bust? That has a more simplistic type base.

That's my point, these bust bases are just unnecessary and drive the cost up. People can complain that p1's are too busy but they still look good.
The only base that looks good to me is rescue

You’re not the first, nor will you be the last to say that.
The last Iron Man bust I had got from Sideshow was a relatively piece of junk in comparison. That being the Mark 42, so I was very hesitant in preordering it, and I decided to now go with Queens Mark 50 and Mark 7 busts.

They must have used extra polish on it for these new promo pics as it seems to have more shine to it.

Most companies have increased prices these past 12 months, the reason usually given is the pandemic and increased cost of shipping containers, also that intricate detailing on the sides of the base probably bumped up the price.

Brushed metallic paint looks good. Good luck getting that from a factory.
