Finally had time to take this piece in and snap some photos, they are attached below. They have been quickly and slightly edited, as the lighting in my place is poor (sorry for the grain).
For me, Sideshow, Daniel Bel and all the other artists involved have an absolute winner here.
The first thing you notice is the size of the piece. Hulk is massive and his proportions are bang on. Those hands are as big as mine!
Likewise, the Base has a nice weight and size to it as well. The Alien creature has a nice design and the squashed head is really well done.
One of my favourite aspects is the pose. They gave a us a Hulk in action, without having it take up so much room. I'm really glad it wasn't a museum pose. When you take into account the base, the piece really tells a story.
The sculpt is fantastic, as usual for Bel's work. His musculature is perfect and the folds, stretches, and veins in his skin are all realistic.
The paint and details are all wonderful. The weathering on Hulk's clothes and armour all show use, like he's been using them in fights for a long time.
The only negatives would be the seamlines in the Alien and the paint around the chip on his chest.
Definitely a centrepiece of a collection and well worth the money, in my opinion. I don't see myself letting go of this piece.
