Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Hey y'all, just received my Ironman fresh off the UPS truck. Looking him over I'm happy with the paint apps on him, the boots came out quite good on mine, the tan wash is light, but I still May touch it up in the next few days. The black wash is hit-or-miss it's light in some areas and heavy and others, that I will tweak maybe tomorrow. The exclusive ironmonger head is awesome! Maybe not an EX or fail to some but it's a lot bigger than I expected it to be, it kicks ass. Overall I am very pleased with this statute, the light up function works great however I did notice overspray on the plugs for the head and arms, I used some flitz metal polish on the connectors to remove the overspray and shine them back up and it worked beautifully ( see photos for before and after) . I'm very happy with this piece he's a keeper. Congrats to everybody that's getting him.

People seem to be changing their tune. Now with the eraser trick people can adjust it as needed

You can't blame people for being alarmist, Sideshows track record with Iron Man is very poor, plus the 1st batch of pics that were coming in did make it look bad.
I'm over the moon that this now seems to have turned turned out great, hopefully it means that Sideshow have put an end to the Iron Man curse.
I wonder if they still plan on releasing the other maquettes in this line, they also teased the MK V & MK VII.

They better. I need the VII too.
I just want what I consider a classic-type look (III), a modern (VII) and a futuristic (one of the most recent, Mk 50 most likely).

I like the VII. It may be too similar to the 1/5 that’s coming though.

I'll admit that I've been one of the biggest critics of this piece after seeing some initial in hand pics. After watching several in hand videos, I've decided not to cancel my order. Two other factors influenced my decision. The eraser tip from aa909. Thank you aa909 for that. Also, I went back and watched the fight scene from the movie. Honestly, this interpretation of the battled armor is pretty accurate IMO. I still don't care for the black shadowing between the joints though.

I think I'm ready to give up on a MK VII, because even if SS makes one it'll probably cost more than I'm willing to pay for it. Plus my tastes have almost completely shifted toward comic based pieces. Outside of a really good Christopher Reeve Superman or Wesley Snipes Blade I don't see myself buying another movie piece.
