Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

Yes, yes, we have heard it a million times already. Flippers, scum of the earth, blah blah blah.

yeah, there seems to be a ton of people who will order just for speculation and then cancel later on. It almost seems not about the collecting anymore.

I agree with cancellation charges. Though it would not stop this type of behavior.
The winner of the auction had the choice of overpaying via an auction such as this or waiting for a wait list conversion. Which in all probability will happen for many.

Exactly. I often wonder why people are so quick to accuse flippers of hurting the hobby, yet rarely have anything to say about those that bid the auction up to well-above retail levels. Who is the real problem?

Not sure why you think there will be "many" conversions. Not many people are going to cancel on a piece already going this high above retail already(and most collectors won't even go near Ebay preorders, so I think it could go even higher.)

Always been part of collecting, always will. I flip pieces I don't want to pay for those I do. Keeps me collecting. Love picking up a piece I can flip.

I do the same. Flipping has paid for half of my collection (at least). That's not an acceptable reason, though, by the anti-flipping crowd.
