The cream will always rise to the top. Today's posters just don't have the wow factor that some of the other releases. They are nice posters but the Exorcist is from a scene that most people don't remember and the Cabin in Woods is not something that I personally need a poster of.

For sure, but as Fro stated if it is not a AAA+ artist or franchise people seem totally disinterested. Even the Whalen Disney stuff sits available at Sideshow or unsought on eBay. The two Gun Mickey wood variant is still in stock which is a far cry from the days of a $600 Steamboat Willie and the past fervour for the alternative print surface stuff. The merits of the artwork itself seems totally forgotten which is not a good sign for the hobby.
Mondo is fast killing their golden goose. As predicted frustration bred indifference.

They are selling too many posters basically, there is going to be a time when it's going to cool down because not everybody is making money on aftermarket sales.

I think the Cabin in the Woods poster is ok. I have high hopes for the movie. I'm going in blank so I have no clue what the imagery symbolizes.
I've been following Mondo posters on eBay after the drops and I've noticed something. It seems like people buy quickly just in case the posters will shoot up in price. The remaining sellers are left with the hope that they will receive high prices. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. Also, Mondo is increasing edition sizes at times. Plus, I think some people are becoming seriously anti-flipper. Of course, the artist and movie helps. Forbidden Planet is a low edition size but the artist and movie are keeping prices low it seems. The artist also released his AP edition yesterday.

Yeah. The AP Edition is 90.00 about what the poster is worth on-the-job 2ndary market. Keeps flippers away and gives the collector a shot to own one.

Has anybody noticed that the site has become much slower than before? Can't even add the stuff to the cart at times.

I am starting to wonder if the hobby is waning.EB users seem to be returning my trade requests with requests for cash in the interest of getting out of the hobby. Also little seems to move on eBay lately and certainly not for the money that used to be the norm.

I'm inclined to agree . . . The enthusiasm does seem to be waning. Even the Tyler Stout Khan doesn't seem to be selling very well. I got an email from Stouts site soliciting that one ??? It needs something BIG to give it a booster shot.

Because people just seem to buy them(mondo) to flip them, they do their drops at like 9-10 am when you're at work
I've have scored a few times though a JC Richard Superman and a DD cowboys & aliens
I had someone pick me up a Tan captain america set from mondo@comiccon and I won a kill bill variant from stouts lottery (but you have to still pay for it)
