Lighter means less material, its more complicated to make statue and saving money, now PCS got all capacities
Anyway Balrog is hollow
I will be happy if the statue comes out perfect, no pb with weight !

Exactly this.
Im loving polystone, it just feels high end.
Weight does have a nice touch to it for some reason, that we can't deny.
But it doesnt make the statue.

I just picked up Balrog there for the second time, the first being when I took him out the box and placed him in the cabinet.
IMO he feels just fine weight wise and if Honda weighs the same thats fine with me!

Im not saying this. Only what this guy says. But...yes I prefer solid statues.
Hollow statues involve material savings and cost reduction . That can not be a good thing ever. Just my opinion.

I'm very curious to see if everybody will feel this way if the 1:3 Akuma is light and hollow

I am sure most wont mind, many have been accepting PCS's hollow statues for years now and nobody seems to care besides a small demographic.Personally these statues are too light for me,and I don't like that,so I no longer buy them, but than again you cant expect much when the price tag for there 1/4 and 1/3 are less than other known companies.I applaud PCS for keeping the costs/price tags low, especially on there 1/3's but it comes with a price, long wait times and really light weight statues....good for consumers who don't mind those two things I guess

No offense to anyone, but PCS, as well as other companies know what is best for their pieces. Some pieces will be more hollow than others, but that is part of the engineering that goes into making a piece. There has to be a good balance, and I am sure they know WAY more than we do. Just because some want it to be heavier doesn't necessarily mean it's going to make the quality better, and could very well make it worse (weight distribution for example).
Are they perfect? No, no one is, but they learn from their mistakes so it doesn't happen to future pieces. In the end, they are the professionals and we are not, so they know what is best for their pieces.

Good point actually.
I wouldn't mind if Akuma is somewhat hollow but the casting would still need to be thick.
Ofcourse, solid is always preffered.

For me weight of the statue plays major role here, whenever you open new box the first thing you do carry that whole statue and feel the weight.
i will pissed if the statue 30 to 40 percent hollow, Sagat and Goro 1/4 really great weight i would say.
All the 1/3 should be at least 80 percent solid or otherwise im not gonna pleased with this.

I don't think most of you guys have an accurate understanding of what these would weigh if the are actually 100% "solid". It would be like lifting a concrete block.
even the original SS Hulk Pf was "hollow" to a degree and think about what it weighed...
as long as these are thicker / more "solid" than the chocolate Easter bunnies I buy my kids I will be happy.
