I just don't agree with the whitewashing term when it's used for remakes designed for different audiences... Avatar, the last Airbender? Whitewashing all the way.

I don't really care if WB changes the sex/race of 3rd tier characters, it's the top tier that make it a bit hard to adjust to if they've been around for a very long time..

Instead of making a movie about superman being black, how about we make a movie staring characters that are already a minority….

Who's to say what qualifies as "Top Tier" or "Third Tier"? Your "Third Tier" may well be someone else's favorite character.

From an individuals point of view that's true but as a group consensus of comic book fans I think it's obvious who's top tier and who's 3rd tier.
