Yeah that look was something she really seemed to want to do and I told her I was fine with it. I have found that trusting painters and just giving them general direction seems to get me closer to what I want than micromanaging and directing every single aspect. I have directed painters before and they paint what I tell them to paint but it never seems to come out as good. Just as an example when Hanna asked me how I wanted to do the weaponry as like museum pieces or more rustic I told her I thought since this is obvious battle that I wanted to go with the more worn look on most everything. I never would have come up with this specific look to what is obviously a really old skull but when she did it I really liked it.

That's kind of a bummer but I'm glad you got the one you wanted. I had to pass on Huntress with Cats, DDIII, and Virgin of Maher for similar reason.

She's killing it Darrin! Battle weathered is the way to go.

I totally agree. If you consider the original source material from Frazetta, the style lends itself perfectly to battle weathered / rusty effects.
No museum piece here, there's just been a carnage and conan is standing on top of a decomposing pile of bodies & limbs!

I think it might need a little more sap green in the color scheme but the alizarin crimson is pretty close to my print of the painting.

This paint up is so good I am going to hate my Barbarian for not being able to get a repaint.

So, I am now officially jealous and I am not going to follow this thread anymore
