[QUOTE=Sonic Boom;6181617]The site says 24 left? I don't like that either. What gives?
They've been playing very loose with the numbers on him almost from the start. It's one thing to just give a general statement saying sales are going well like they recently did with Doomsday. Whatever. But they have been publicly throwing out specific numbers and percentages on Superman, none of which are proving to be realistic. Maybe that's just what they felt they needed to do with the first one to get the line established through good old reliable FOMO. Yeah it's shady no question. I don't know their history well enough to see if they've pulled this nonsense with other lines. Superman should sell out by next month presumably . . Doomsday who knows how long, will be awhile. Batman and Freeze at least should be much quicker. But if the plan is to reach 5-8 busts a year, that's pretty ambitious if it is taking at least 6 months to sell out one. 350 ES will be a hard ask, especially as they dig down to the more niche characters. If they even get that far. That's debatable.

I'm not sure why they'd lie. Whether it's 5 or 24, either way it's a better than 90% sell-through before it ships.

I am not sure why anyone cares so much.
I mean yes I know people want to know how well they are selling and how long they can put off ordering but eh at some point ehh either PO cause you want to or wait till after release.

At some point you conclude that statue producers are not totally outright and forthcoming. That's the game, man.

There's an assumption that their website is accurately reflecting how many are left. I wouldn't make that assumption. Maybe they said 5 because there's only 5 left.

Could be. Shouldn't take them long to move 5.

I mean, what kind of a website do you have when it allows you to order 24 of said item if you actually only have 5 left for sale?

since more statues are produced usually than what is actually ordered I could see allowing extra statues to be ordered. These would be either un-numbered or AP's. Also since not all statues arrive in perfect shape, it would make sense to have some back-ups.
