If this was in scale i'd get it for sure, cause its not bad looking, just way to small.

I thought I was a B/W completist too, but this will be my second pass. I'm a stickler for scale and this thing is just too tiny. I passed on the gotham knights version too because im a stickler for consistency and I didn't like the base, or the sculpt.

After buying the Bob Kane statue and having one of the feet break off fitting it into a mis-aligned base, I'll never buy another Batman B&W statue. If DC Direct can't spring for the packaging to ship these in one complete piece they're not getting my $$$.

Awesome piece but I see your bats and raise you THE GREEN BATMAN OF sector 2814 LOL

with this line I really wish DC would ask the collectors or at least the Artist what they would like the piece to look like. I am sure Ethan either had no say in the design with this piece as I would not think he would have choose that pose. I own matt wagners original designs for his B&W and DC actually did it dead on from the art. I also have one of Jim Lees designs for his staute ugh the art was just very ruff sketches so it came out like it did.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I don't think the final pose is what anyone originally designed (Ethan or Ray). Ray's original scuplt looked way better than this final version that includes DCD's dictated tweaks. It's like if I took Ethan's art, scanned it, cut and paste pieces and rearranged them to form different poses, then called it "Ethan Van Sciver" art.

Oh - and in case some aren't aware, they included sketches/pre-production art for many of the B&W statues in the Vol. 3 B&W book...

YOU HAVE TO PICK AND CHOOSE FROM THE B&W SERIES. SOME OF THE STATUES AREN'T THE GREATEST. SOME OF THE STATUES ARE EXCELLENT.

IT'S CALLED CHERRY PICKING !!!
