Amazing how this thread has died ever since the price was revealed. I'd kill to get my hands on such a great statue, but the price is nowhere near what most of us, myself included, would pay. Congrats to those of you who pick this up.

I saw this thread and thought hell yeah coz I LOVED ASTERIX as a kid and was brought up on the comics/annuals they were awesome and I would love to get this ....then I saw the price OMG well I came crashing back to earth with a big bump to the head with the realisation now that I will not be getting one of these then!! 
And yes it does look awesome and there must have been a heck of a lot of work gone into this but that price is a joke...

Yep the price is HIGH but according to this rather provocative comment then all preorder priced statues (Bowen, Moore etc) should then also be counted as depreaciated. Many places do offer discounted preorder prices as you know. The actual going price for Asterix we will not see earlier than after publication when its actually on hand and/or after its sold out from Attakus.
