I've been seriously considering cancelling my wait list reservation the past few days. With the $90 print and a bunch of other stuff going on in October, the next month or so is shaping up to be expensive. The free shipping on my regular looks really good right now.

Before cancelling though, I decided to ask Sideshow for a cost estimate on the exclusive shipping. They said $33, which is reasonable enough imo.

After that I checked my e-mail. The wait list had converted a few minutes before I contacted Sideshow.

Guess the matter is settled!

Aluminum frames, is what soda cans are made of. Wood frames, is what toothpicks are made of.

Is the material cost what matters or the final product properties?

I prefer aluminum because of the finish and that it won't warp due to heat or humidity. But I do use wood frames on some artwork where the finish better fits the art.
