Acrylic or glass eyes are a must for these maquette. The painted eyes are just cheap and looks really cheap for these high cost maquettes. Prototypes may look good but that's not the quality we'll get.
We wouldn't see that many problems if CM's passionate ENOUGH.

Can't agreet more with ya, T.
CM eyes are painted bad and they are lifeless. Acrylic would make a HUGE difference, even at 1/3 scale.
There's no excuse(other than extra labor) why CM can't incorporate glass or acrylic eyes in their pieces, principally at their price point. Would make a BIG difference and would step their game one notch.

And nice to see you again Cap.
Collecting a few japanese anime stuff and sharing them with my little daughter SHE is the one who's collecting now!!
But, movie stuff, no, too much and, regarding CM, when I see the improvements of hot toys and Enterbay. Years we said that they absolutely need to go on with acrylic or glass eyes, for giving "life" to their models, especially at 1/3 scale: details must be top level.
I am targeting the cylon centurion actually (BSG), but crossfingered: that's a lot of $$$

I do hope so, if business is going well.
The "Robot Man", Fred Barton is a really nice man (had the chance to "chat" with him a year ago) and do know his job.
BTW, Gruson, you forgot me as a person who wants a perfect CMVader too , from the beginning and I still have in mind: the lights, but also the sound of the breath.
I remember all the e-mails I sent to scott at that time and all we did
For a CM piece, it must have something special (lightsaber with light and lighting belt and chest are usual now. If Cinemaquette realease a Vader one day, it would be perfect to get the digitalize historical breath. I am sure, it is possible to do it

A vader would rock, I would be one of the first to order it from CM. I would love it if there was a David P face under a removable helmet.

As a head, actually, you have the choice
-H. Christiansen
-D. Prowsehttp://www.chasingthefrog.com/movie-villains/darth-vader/david-prowse.jpg
-James Earl Jones
-Sebastian Shawhttp://www.chasingthefrog.com/movie-villains/darth-vader/sebastian-shaw2.jpg
Actually, before the new trilogy and being a Sfi fan of old American movies, litterature and art (one of my favourite movie is still "The Forbidden Planet" with Robby the robot! (yes, yes, for a Belgian..I went to USA when I was young and know pretty well Vancouver DC too..), I imagined mysel what could have been Anakin with a young S. Shaw:
