I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I so want one!

The plaques come separately from the AT-AT's.

Artist proof mean absolutely nothing to me, I always thought having a number (which is unique) was more cool than having 5 artist proofs (which are all the same). Especially right now when there are people who can make you any kind of plaque you want and will look EXACTLY like the original - with a number it would be harder, we never know how many AP's are out there, and they could make hundreds LOL.

I even have 2 original, but different numbered plaques for my Stormtrooper blaster, and got one for shipping cost only (which was almost free). So I wouldn't pay $150 for an AP plaque, I'd rather save that money for something interesting.

The autographed plaques I have are all unique, they are signed by the actors/celebrities themselves: James Earl Jones, Dave Prowse, Richard Bonehill, Ian Liston, Doug Robinson, Julian Glover etc.

Last year I got a custom made plaque signed for my Stormtrooper blaster by Richard Bonehill (in fact I have 2 identical signed ones since Mr. Bonehill was always very kind with me, and I already had cool offers for one but passed for now), and a double signed plaque by James Earl Jones and Dave Prowse for a Darth Vader item - I might display it with my PF Vader, or with the new coming Sideshow Vader bust - especially since my collecting focus are Original Trilogy Imperials.

You can see them all on my prop replicas collection.

Silly me if i had just waited 20 seconds longer bidding I could have potentially gotten this for $200 less. This other guy really wanted it so there was a mini battle.

Anyways, they dont have the box because the seller never thought they would ever get rid of it. They are having it professionally packaged. Ebay buyer protection covers the full amount if its damaged.

My question to you guys is, did I get a good deal.
I ended up paying $1525 plus $70 shipping for 2nd day air. I guess in the long run its worth whatever its value is to you. But I was curious what yalls take was on it as I have seen them sell new in box for $2495 on ebay before.

I would really like to have the box just cause but have been looking for this for a while and couldnt find one reasonably let alone with a box.

If anyone has a box they dont want drop me a pm :-)

So what do you think? Did I get a good deal? I think it originally retailed for $1400.

So, does the replica arrived ok?

Sorry to hear about the damage. That's why it's always better to buy one with its original packaging.

Against all advices people still buy this studio scale replica without its original box and then they are unhappy when it arrives damaged...

The crashed custom AT-AT was for sale recently on Rebelscum too... I have some extra pics on my home PC. It is quite cool, an excellent way to deal with a damaged replica
