If you want to get technical...the arrow should be on the opposite side of the bow. Someone made a comment about this on SM....saying he was an archer.

While he may technically be right, he also needs to realize it is a comic character. If anyone is a master archer / bowman like Hawkeye, seems to me they could be accurate shooting the arrow however they wanted.

Really?

Edit: That poster is correct but it doesn't matter for Hawkeye!

The arrow is positioned on the correct side to me. How do you shoot it on the other side of the bow???

Hey I am just saying what someone said on SM....don't shoot the overhearer....

This is the quote:

"Good up to the point of the bow. Not accurate. I can speak from personal experience as I am an archer by hobby. He's holding the bow with the arrow on the wrong side of the bow, with the site on the wrong side, and the cams on the compound aren't rotated around to reflect the bow being drawn ready to shoot.

For hawkeye being an archer you would think they could get it right. No research went Into this. And I actually like the sculpt."

How does Hawkeye hold the bow in the comics? Hasn't he ever shot from both sides before?

I just googled "shooting a bow" and their are pictures of the arrow being shot on both sides of the bow, but it does seem the bow has to be sculpted a certain way (with a arrow notch) in order to shoot the arrow on the inside of the bow.... Seems like the real old school style bows shot with the arrow on the outside... but it's a very small issue IMO... (Inside = left of bow, Outside = right of bow)

Always on the inside now,but way back it was on the outside before the archers paradox was discovered.

I went to school with a guy who shot himself in his own eye shooting a bow. He didn't have it stabilized before he shot, the arrow spun around and went into his eye.

Hahaha. We would never shoot you stone!

I now see that the poster is only referring to the compound bow (which I have never used, I was old school) whereas I was referencing the classic bow. I can see his point now.

I'm with B2S and it's no issue for me.
