I'd be lying if I said I don't like lower ES's. For me, the lower the better. But as already pointed out, with so many other collectible companies out there today we could well have multiple versions of this dio. within the next decade with each one being considered better than the last, so a lower ES may be meaningless.
What hasn't been pointed out is SS's role [or every other collectible company for that matter] in determining these ES's. I do know that all these statues go through multiple approval processes from the choice of character, to concept design, to final approval based on the completed product. And that at any time through the process companies like Marvel and DC can bring these projects to a complete halt until their expectations are met. With that said, I'd be pretty surprised to learn that companies like Marvel and DC don't have a huge say or influence on the ES's since they seem to be calling the shots on everything else.

I for one would prefer a low ES and feel strongly that if a piece is made in the thousands like 5,000 or 7,500 I could easily buy one on the secondary market for cheaper than POing it and letting my money get played with instead of being in my pocket.
I like this piece and want it but at TBD it's kinda not making me rush to get it. Now if magically this has it's ES released and it's low then said Wait List I would be one of the first to place my order in hopes it converts. But only if the ES is reasonable to me.
There is way to much happening in this period of time, way to many pieces all sorts of new companies and tons of different options to scratch your collecting itch.
