Production value is extremely high, acting is impressive across the board, writing is layered and complex. Easily the best original series Starz has ever produced and probably my second favorite premium channel series to date, right behind Game of Thrones.
I totally agree, it gets my highest praise

Castlevania 9/10

Great first season. Compelling and voice acting on point. Lots of Gore and few F bombs. Not for the kids.

Castlevania - 7/10 I was so into it by the 4th episode and then it ended. Boo on Netflix for doing 4 short episodes instead of what should have been at least 8 if not more. I would have scored this higher if I felt they had given me a complete season. That said, what was there was pretty fantastic for an animated show.

Wow! Castlevania is only 4 episodes? That's disappointing. Are they at least 1hr long vs. 1/2hr? Still looking forward to watching

Nope, 20mins...

It's a great series, ends way too quickly.

That's ridiculous. So it's not even the length of a short feature film. Hardly a series at 80 min. On the plus side S2 was already green lit, so maybe they'll up the episodes next time.

They're 24 mins. long, the same length of a 30 min sitcom (IE: Big Bang Theory) if you take out the commercials.

I'm guessing they wanted to see how popular they would be before committing to more episodes.

It is. It's off the hook good. That said, if someone would explain to me the series resolution in the last minute of the final episode, I'd seriously appreciate it. It left me truly hanging.
