The pay in full discount was Macaluso's shady downfall.
It's not technically a discount, it's a rewards program. It's basically the same as Sideshow Rewards, except MUCH better. With PCS' program, you get 15% back in "Loyalty Points" for pre-ordering, regardless of whether you pay in full, or just put down the deposit. For the Deluxe, it's the same amount ($290) that is non-refundable.

Sideshow Rewards have always been only 5% back, if I'm not mistaken.

Oh yeah thanks forgot they were points.
Either way as long as people aren't pumping full price so far ahead of delivery everything should be dandy.

It won't be hard for Ant to have better business acumen than Jerry.

Oh Jerry had plenty of a certain kind of business acumen but as long as customers aren't taking on any significant risk PCS's financial fate will mainly concern only who it should: the owners.

In his affidavit he basically attested to having no idea wtf he was doing :P

It's not really a stretch to say he was stealing people's money, if that's what you mean by business acumen sure :P

Of course he did ignorance was the only defense available for him.
Yes his business acumen was of the illegal kind not ignorance.

Spoiler

He didn't keep records because he didn't need to.
He always knew he was minimizing his own risk while maximizing his income
and realized he'd pumped it as much as he could when the factories became too busy and expensive to maintain his SOP.
Strongest proof is he bailed on everyone, employees, customers, fans, and even the new owners bailing him out. Then TRIED to get a new business going.

Him finding stooges to buy him out speaks volumes of their own business ineptitude.
And no them managing to turn it around this well is more an indication of collectors' desperation for statues.

But as long as the only risk to customers are cancelled statues and a little NRD then meh who really cares.

Basically everything done by the old PCS is what we are specifically NOT doing now. Limited editions are actually limited. We don't and won't have piles of "AP" editions sitting in warehouses. Sculpt and paint has been elevated, development costs are not just passed to customers with their preorder money (which you're not supposed to do anyway) . We have a whole new facility and warehouse to manage our direct sales. And we listen to our collector fans as policy.

Ordered the Deluxe R1 and the Platinum R2. Couldn't resist that low run size of R2.

Cool

For the price, these should have come with at least another swap out option. R1 DX should've had an unmasked portrait and R2 could've had a swap out auto-9 gun.
