i went in with rock bottom expectations and was pleasantly surprised. aside from several issues (which some i assume will be further explained) overall i enjoyed it and am looking forward to see where things go

That's what stagnation gets you. If there was a thousand years of peace and the Jedi saw themselves as the best there was. And they thought they could do no wrong, then there was no need to improve. Qui-Gon was looking for the Chosen One, so maybe he saw the need to improve.

At this point, she met him once, when she was 10. Yes, it was a kidnapping, so a traumatic experience she would likely remember, but I believe so far he's only referred to himself as 'Ben', right? So she may not connect the two later on.

I'd gladly accept this minor retcon if Disney would wipe the ST from existence.

I enjoyed the first 2 episodes, pretty much what I was expecting at this point. I look forward to discussing more when spoilers are allowed
