The Deuce - Season 1
The writing, acting and art direction are all outstanding. The complexity, subtelty and overall richness reminded me a lot of Mad Men. 10/10

Wow, The Duece is that good huh? I usually check out all of HBO's original dramatic material but for some reason this one didn't grab me from the previews so I passed. Looks like I made a mistake and will have to binge watch this now.

Like Mad Men, it's extremely heavy on character development while the overarching plot is more subdued. It's also a rather quiet show, no over-the-top shoot outs or brawls--just know that going in.

Thanks! Always down for some good character development as long as the material and performances are compelling.

Halt and Catch Fire S4 - 8.5/10
Great, very unique series and the final season didn't disappoint. In fact it may be it's strongest. A bit more dramatic and hard hitting of a sendoff than I was expecting though. Overall a very satisfying conclusion if a bit bittersweet.

Been trying to watch the Inhumans. Ugh! I'm three episodes in and am finding it hard to justify continuing.

The Grinder 8/10 only lasted one season but I have to admit, it was pretty funny. Worth watching.
