Well, it's a case-by-case basis for me. I don't have Bison, but if the costume calls for being covered up, I'm glad PCS makes it accurate and isn't reluctant to cover up the sculptor's work. With mixed-media, we're buying the "bigger picture" and the costume is just as important. If there's any fault in Bison's costume, it looks to me like the fabric chosen is a tad too thick.

As for Gouken, I'm not a 100% fan of any of his alts. I like the torn gi and arm wrappings of alt 1, but not the "pretzel rope". I'd choose alt 1 if that was removable. I appreciate that though for representing the rivalry between Gouken and Akuma as Shinto gods Raijin and Fujin, respectively. Alt 2 (rice hat) is a cool look, I just don't like it for Gouken. It, too, represents Raijin from a western depiction (and we already have Raiden from MK, which I'll buy when PCS puts him out!) Alt 3 is the typical garb of Yamabushi - mountain hermits. Again, I appreciate it, and it fits Gouken thematically, but it doesn't appeal to me aesthetically.
I prefer the yellow swap (color 9) of his default costume that I posted earlier in this thread. As mentioned when I posed that, it's a more subtle monastic reference. Shaolin monks wear an orange/yellow robe.
