Agreed. I was so looking forward to these and now I'm wondering if I should just get my favorites from the set on ebay as singles. I was going to buy a box, but with only one base card per pack, I think it might be a waste. Trading on this forum might be an option, but I was really looking forward to the thrill of opening the packs and seeing them for the first time, just like I did with the 1992 set.

very disappointing, this whole thing might just be a huge PASS if its going to cost this much. I used to buy these with my $5/week allowance and lawn mowing money - now I cant afford them with a full time job wtf???

"Those undertaking the set are in for a major challenge". When this is said in the first review of the set before it's even released, you know you're in trouble.

agreed, they went for the nostalgia with this set but then crapped all over the most nostalgic part which is opening those packs and seeing all the great cards

they couldnt of been more wrong with how they are releasing this set, I should of known it was too good to be true, after years of waiting this is such a kick in the nuts I really dont know what im going to do now, im all or nothing though, im either gonna buy the base set for an outrageous cost or not get anything at all

Yeah come to think of it, you guys are right.. at this kind of premium, getting doubles would not be fun, but very irritating.. without the fun it is not nostalgia at all.. and yes its ridiculous how many boxes you would need to buy just to complete a set.. and here I thought 2 boxes was going to be lavish

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Sounds like a hustle. As u all said, to good to be true. This blows, instead of trying to rebuild the card hobby, they go for a quick cash grab. This needs to change.

Yup, with someone who is so reinvigorating with art, this was their chance to reinvogorate the hobby.. I somehow doubt this format will lead to another set being done

Anyway..

TEASERS!

these teasers just depress me now cause I know chances are ill never have this set lol its mind boggling how badly they screwed the fans on this set, total chance to reinvigorate the hobby instead all they'll do is push fans away because of their greed

this is just their way of saying hey how can we produce less material and get more money from it, make it stupidly limited! good job marvel CEO's, another bonus for you clowns

its especially depressing cause the artwork looks so good and classic exactly what I was hoping to see, the artwork looks phenomenal and like a true sucessor to 92 masterpieces

Yeah, the Moon Knight/Bushmaster and Hulk /Red Hulk cards look like they're going to be used for something like the classic battle Dyna-Etch chase cards from 1992. Most of the cards we've seen so far look like classic versions of the characters (except Cyclops), which is how I was hoping they'd be. Guess I'll have to wait and see how much these are going to cost, but I'm not optimistic. Really frustrating.
