batman im more on the fence than i thought i would be due to the "armored up" look, seems very reminiscent of the arkham games. still im a pretty easy mark as far as batman goes so unless it looks super weird to me ill be picking that up as well

Yes. I loved the base of the OG Supes PF, just not the figure. If it's classic it should rock.
I'm not into an "armored" Batman personally. I'm always up for upgrading my pieces, but the OG is still the best in my eyes.

Strictly comparing the 1st Batman PF, comic inspired versions only...
It’s like opposites in a way. Old cloth costume, new sculpted costume; old sculpted cape, new cloth cape; old standing tall, new seemingly hunched over; old basic costume, new armored/teched up. Not sure if that’s on purpose.
Since I plan on owning both it makes for a nice visual contrast when displaying near each other.

That's a great point and nice of Sideshow to have considered that(maybe) .

New inflated retail price. Lol.
I don’t like that the base is a grave. Doesn’t even matter who’s grave. I just don’t want a centerpiece statue of Batman on a grave. And this looks promising but I would’ve liked an action pose.

My problem with the tombstone is less that it IS a tombstone, and more that it is cartoony and stupidly cliché having "R.I.P." in huge font across it.
Like, no sh!t Sherlock, it's a tombstone...can't just have some intials/name and a set of dates?

Yeah if it's just some random grave that's worse. I was thinking it had to have some type of meaning. I still can't figure it out and I'm dying to know.
Was he visiting his parents and something suddenly popped off? I really don't get it.

Agreed. I wonder what's on the other side? I keep thinking Jason Todd.
