im sorry jp but not all of us have that retro cable.. wahhhhh
Having said that, i do get your point. But still, it's just half a head, it would still look great for your display. The upcoming Bishop is half a head as well right? Cyclops is more like 1/3 head. Haha!!

That Retro Cable looks amazing. One of the coolest bases ever. Sadly, the price it's commanding is beyond my powers to justify. And Bishop, being from a dystopian future, probably felt he deserved one as well!

Cyclops might even be closer to 1/4 head! I know the front display is what really matters, but I wish his base continued all the way around the back. Then we could get up to a 1/2 Sentinel head!

Right on brother. If it was indeed similar to Cable's base, no double thoughts, instant buy!

This is a little bit off topic, but anyone have any idea why this statue seems to be the most expensive of the recent Marvel releases?
What is justifying the higher price...I checked a couple of prices and Cyc is priced higher than most any other Marvel Koto statue....I think so far the most expensive (I'm talking retail price). Is it edition size? gas? cost of materials...I'm puzzled.
I would like to get him to continue my X-men lineup...but gotta wait for sales...especially now that the price is higher....

It's the most expensive because it's a proven popular line (Danger Room Sessions) that sells well, and Koto knows that they can make the most profit by diluting the materials and upping the price for it (see paint application and lower quality base).
But to be fair, any company would be doing the same thing, selling a lousier made piece from a popular line to probably give a bigger budget to another piece in a different line.

To be fair, if anything Cyclops' base is more complicated than the original bases, and larger, once you compare him to the others you'll see why he is more expensive, I had to make the base larger due to his spread leg pose.

Well, your sculpts are always awesome. But I'm talking about there being no light up feature (which I guess hasn't been confirmed/not confirmed as being there yet), and there being no clear plastic for a light up feature to shine through like previous releases. Is the paint application even as metallic as the others, or did it get dulled out like the character paint did?
You know, basic cost cutting stuff while raising the overall price to make a bigger profit off of, yes, a lousier made product than what's come before.
