Mmmmm... I sense an Executive Producer stint in your future.

That was my original career plan, before I got side-tracked into education. I wanted to program, and later produce TV. Ah, plans.

It's never too late, bro. I spent as many years teaching as I did GETTING my teaching degrees; what is it.. the average # of careers for an adult is three? That's what it was a few years ago... I've done teaching and voice-over, still doing both (screw you, CA.), so... hopefully.. writing is next.
Hammer down, Teague; hammer down.

Personally, I think they ought to do the fake-idea; run a "Master Collector" show instead of pandering to the Hoarders fans. Focus on people with very cool, responsible collections. That, I'd watch.
So tired of the negative slant on all things reality-TV.

Yeah, we would watch it. but face it, reality tv panders to the lower common denominator, and shows like that are supposed to be train-wrecks of peoples lives and not anything more. Almost a modern day freak show.

I believe the Galactica guy said he was a partner in a store... but that can be taken lots of ways. That's the first one I've watched, and I recognize a lot of that behavior from when I jettisoned my collection. He wasn't so bad, and for him to get that original script? Totally worth it.
The robot guy really worried me. While he had a lot of cool stuff, it's insane that he considered it as his retirement. It's very doubtful that he'd ever sell enough of it to retire... just keep on buying and hoarding. When a job is only a means for acquiring more "toys", rather than paying off debts and planning for the future, that's when you need serious help.

If they had those collectors in the last few episodes show their collections that would have made a far better show.
Even Captain Apollo said that guy's Battlestar Galactica collection was a mess. But also that it was one of the best ones.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Episode 6 had Marlo Alquiza, a DC inker, who collects and customizes action figures. It said he works as a nurse as he wasnt getting enough work.
There was also a flintstones collector, who really reminded me of an overweight Jon Malkovich.
The flintstones collector recieved an offer on one of his items from an asian guy, who I have seen as one of the staff on Hollywood Treasure, but they didnt mention that.

Marlo seemed like his collection was more of an annoyance to his wife then a danger to him, the Flintstones guy did however have a bit of an unhealty attatchement to it due to his mom
