Oakland eyeing Sheets, Damon
The A's have some cash to spend and they're reportedly ready to offer a large chunk of it to free-agent pitcher Ben Sheets. Oakland, which struck out on free agents Marco Scutaro, Jamey Carroll and Adrian Beltre this winter, is apparently ready to move on to Johnny Damon if it can't lure Sheets. But, there are indications the A's are major players for Sheets. (Oakland Tribune)

I knew it, ESPN is reporting that Favre says him returning next season to play is 'highly unlikely'

If Favre isn't going to start it ESPN has to ao everyone will tune in for 5 second updates on Favre.
