I know it's not what Chronicle wants to hear, but I do believe this is the case at least on SF.

I came here to view and participate in this discussion. This is the first CC piece I've bought.
I have to agree with the quoted statement. And Breakout Rex isn't going to restore that confidence. There is definitely a discrepancy between what CC showed as a production sample and what people are starting to get. It makes them look like liars even if they really aren't, and doesn't make me want to get impressed by the word "Toynami" anytime in the near future.
I really wonder if the factory supplied this "random" sample, and pulled one over on CC. In the end though, it's not looking to be better or quite on par with the SS Dinosauria paint apps either, frankly. Which the way this was hyped, I expected to at least be on par with what Sideshow does.
Is the statue bad IMO? No. It's not bad, it's still good. It's not what we were shown we'd be getting either. And that's the part that feeds the disappointment and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I hope we all are wrong once they start hitting our doors, but there's no way the differences are due to lighting. So, regardless of why we are seeing what we're seeing, my first time customer impressions of CC have fallen considerably, and I hate that because there are a number of other reasons to be impressed with them.
