If we were back in early 2014 then that would be a different matter entirely, but were in late 2017, not early 2014. I have gotten just one amazing piece after another these last couple years and at this point, with Sideshow signing even more amazing artists, I expect the quality will only continue to go up from here.

Here's my opinion of the statues I recieved over the last couple years:

Batgirl - spot on with the prototype
Captain Marvel - spot on with the prototype
Cleopsis - spot on with the prototype
Green Ivy - spot on with the prototype
Lady Death - spot on with the prototype
Purgatori - spot on with the prototype
Red Sonja - SDwaS - spot on with the prototype
Amazing Spider-Man - spot on with the prototype
Skeletor - spot on with the prototype
TMNT's - spot on with the prototype's

Aquaman - very close to prototype
Black Canary - very close to the prototype
Classic Catwoman - very close to prototype
Dark Phoenix - very close to the prototype
Gamora - very close to the prototype
Green Goblin PF - very close to the prototype
Green Lantern - very close to the prototype
Groot & Rocket - very close to the prototypes
He-Man - very close to the prototype
Kier - very close to the prototype
Pfieffer Catwoman - very close to the prototype
Power-Girl - very close to the prototype
Shard - very close to the prototype
Vampirella - very close to the prototype

Emma Frost - noticable difference from prototype
1st Red Sonja - noticable difference from prototype

Statues that I don't own, but I know people that do and have seen them first hand:

Batman The Dark Knight - spot on with prototype
Cheetah - very close to the prototype
Darth Maul - spot on with prototype
Hulk vs. Wolverine Maquette - very close to prototype
Lobo - very close to the Prototype
Sentinel Maquette - very close to prototype
Voltron - spot on with prototype

I had no doubt about the last Red Sonja coming out great and I have absolutely zero doubt about this Red Sonja coming out great. Its just the long wait that sucks!!
I must be in the same group as I'm very pleased with all my SS statues.

What was not even close to the prototype are the following:

Voltron PF. In fact ssc had to change the webpage after the horrendous paint job they did on this piece when people complaint about it. The over spray eyes was bad. The silver was flat and had zero shading like what the proto showed.

Rogue PF the horrendous paint job on the face was the worst. Her eye shadows was so poorly painted that Ssc had to resent another batch for those who complaint. Even the 2nd batch didn't fair any better.

Iron Patriot Maquette by far the worst paint job Amongst all the statues out there. Black straight lines were Wobbly painted. The navy metallic color had botches all over. A huge disappointment.

Pyslocke PF poor primer paint job had ssc recall or replace a bulk of there statues which had paint flaking all of the place.

Spider Woman PF A lot of them had sloppy paint job with which was pretty bad.

Ms Marvel PF the back of her hair was poorly glued or assembled resulted in a gap. I had ssc replace mine 4 times.

Not so bad but there were flaws.
And the ones you mentioned alread.
1) red Sonja pf (1st one) skin tone didn't even look like proto.
2) Lara Croft PF (2nd one) wonky eye?

However ssc had some pretty flawless statues also.
1) Lara Croft Comiquette. The paint app was astounding. Imo, the best ever by ssc.
2) Lobo PF. The best DC statue by ssc.
3) Captain Marvel PF. The best Marvwl statue out there

Logic dictates that there will be satisfied customers as well as dissatisfied customer. One doesn't negate the other.

I could type a super long post about my personal gripes, but that wouldn't change your personal experience, so I'm not sure what your objective is with your post?!

Add to that, people's idea of quality differs significantly, so the pieces you think are great, may be the complete opposite for someone else.

No one is condemning this piece, how could they? We're just speculating on what could go wrong.....which is no more, or less, "wise" then approaching the piece with gerbil faced optimism!

None of these are recent releases. I cannot take this comment seriously. People need to stop bringing up old statues that are NOT indicative of what is going on today.

Good grief how old are some of these releases?

I'm glad that each and every time you post here, you show us more and more of that maturity you spoke about a few pages back.

BTW, nice job taking my photo of my professionally repainted Rogue head and painting on google eyes.
